Great Lakes is lead by producer, videographer and hunter, Paul Ranft. Paul has hunted and fished all his life, guiding and teaching others about the outdoors. His love of the outdoors has taken him all over the world. Paul has co-produced most of the shows he has filmed, and produced and appeared in many commercials. Paul has been a freelance videographer for Scent-Lok and Keith Warren, appearing on shows such as Scent'Lok's Wildlife Point Blank, Scent'Lok's Bucks, Bulls and Bears, and Keith Warren's Outdoor Show. Paul is also a pro-staffer for several large companies such as Scent-Lok, BowTech and Wildlife Research Center just to name a few. One of the shows he appeared on won a Golden Moose award. He has been a guest speaker on Mike Avery's Outdoor Radio Talk Show and has even hosted an outdoor radio talk show himself. He's written articles for Buck Fax Magazine and has led many seminars for local banquets and outdoor shows. He loves giving back and sharing the outdoors with others.

Paul also has developed one of the largest outfitting businesses in the state of Iowa, Timber Ridge Outfitters. Paul owns and operates his business, Classical Taxidermy in his home of Niles, Michigan. Although Paul can typically be found hunting near his business in Iowa, his hunting has taken him all over the world, from the plains of Africa to the Australian outback. Having harvested over 30 record book Whitetails, Paul has truly distinguished himself from the crowd.
